Essential Skills for the Food & Drink Industry

Delivering the Level 3 Food & Drink Maintenance Apprenticeship Standard

North West Training Council (NWTC) are holding an insight event focussed on the level 3 Food and Drink Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship standard on 29th March. The event is at their centre on Dunnings Bridge Road and is free to anyone working or involved in the food and drink industry in Liverpool City Region.

NWTC has been successfully delivering this apprenticeship standard for two years. Guests at the event will receive an insight into various specialist aspects of the standard and how they provide the cornerstone skills required by employers in the food and drink sector. This includes industry fundamentals such as supply chain, process heat treatment, packaging, cleaning CIP and dry steam.

In addition, the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink (NSAFD) will provide an overview of the engineering standards delivery model, and NWTC will be sharing details of their imminent move to a state of the art flagship training centre.

There will be opportunities for questions as well as a tour of the current training workshops. The event starts with coffee and Danish pastries at 9am and will close at 11am.
